Dr. Afrika on diabetes

Despite the serious nature of this interview.. the look on the face of the host at times is quite humorous

  1. very informative stuff, a tad scary too considering most of our diets are full up of processed sugar. the host has a slight toad-ish look about him

  2. Yes, he has. It doesn't explain type 1 diabetes though which occurs often in youngsters, even infants who haven't yet developed poor eating habits. I didn't realise insulin was salt.

  3. Wow!!!

That is serious. The host looks like he's a Twinkie away from a massive heart attack. He's sitting there looking at Dr. Afrika as if he gave him diabetes rather than those pork chops and chitterlings he's been eating.

While Dr. Afrika is sitting there looking like he's disgusted having to talk to this big burly motherfucker.

Can you imagine the look that would be on Dr. Afrika's face if he had to sit through dinner with the host?

  4. Reggie. What a laugh I've had today. Dr. Afrika looked at him like.. 'this fucking stupid pig!!'. The host looked upset when told to leave his sweetener alone.

All this amidst some really serious information.. :)

  5. Also, I hear prevention, but what's the cure?.. is it that removing white sugars etc will restore the pancreas to health?. When the body is unable to produce it naturally, insulin is needed to stabilise the blood sugars.. doing the job of the pancreas. I'm sure as science progresses things will change,as we understand more, but at present my youngest takes insulin four times a day.. more if required.. and his diet was okay before diagnosis, so I suspect there may be even more to this. I read recently that emotionally changes can harm the cells within the body quite significantly, I wonder if they also have the ability to reverse this so as to heal..
Perhaps it's also a case of hereditary faulty genes from way back.
If what his says about insulin is true, that is also cause for concern and another (more natural/less harmful) way would definitely be preferable.
Dr Afrika sure doesn't mince his words..
